Life Manor is a Jesus-centered environment that welcomes all retirement ages from 55 and older. Celebrate this season of life at Life Manor Independent Living Community.
Life Manor has served Tacoma’s senior population with quality, affordable living. Our communities are designed with you in mind and from one generation to the next, our residents continue to call us home.
Spend time with family & friends. Get together with your neighbors for Bible study. Learn a new craft. Take a walk in the park. Plant some bulbs in the community garden. Jump on the Manor shuttle to the Mall. Have that second cup of coffee and fellowship with new friend.
I’ve been here for ten years on the 5th floor. I like the nice people and being able to walk down to Wal-Mart, or to lunch close by with friends. I met a lot of new friends here who I enjoy spending time with each day. Sometimes we go on bike rides or walks in the park nearby and then we go have lunch at the Manor. My sister visits me when she is up from California and takes comfort in knowing I am in a safe place.
When I met the Robinson’s (Manor Pastors) and got to know them, it was just so uplifting to my soul. The spiritual nature that we have here, knowing that God is here with us and the daily activities we do here just make me feel so good. I go to all of the coffee socials and attend two bible classes here on that are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. They are such a pleasure. Everything is so close and convenient. I go shopping all the time – even on my wheel chair! My little buddy (dog) can be with me too. I also take delight in knowing that even if one weekend I can’t make it to my home church in Auburn, I can make it to Life Center because it is right next door!
I love that you can be involved in activities as much as you want or to just relax! What brought me to Life Manor was that they have a shuttle to take me places, weekly outings, crafts, activities and that shopping is so convenient and close. My daughter and I thought that this would be a great place to live and it has been everything I expected! My favorite part about living here is all of the people I’ve met and getting to be so involved in various ministries at Life Center. I help volunteer in the nursery when they have MOPS and for special events like the Easter play and Singing Christmas tree. It’s just a quick walk over to the church campus! Every day is so pleasant for me. I particularly love our social hours where we gather together for coffee or tea. Everyone brings something to contribute and people are so considerate about food allergies or having no sugar for those with diabetes. We look out for each other and there is something for everyone!
